Journey to a 140kg Bench Press
Update: Pretty sure I broke my wrist doing some dumbass stuff. Hopefully it’s just a sprain though. We’ll see how it goes over the next week or so.
For my New Year’s Resolution, I decided to start hitting the gym again. Although I began lifting a couple of years ago, I stopped going consistently for the last 2 years or so. Since then, I’ve gotten a bit out of shape, so I figure it’s time for me to begin my lifting journey anew.
I started going to the gym in February-ish, and in the past 2 months I’ve managed to get back all the strength I lost and even gain some, although I am significantly less lean than I was before lol.
I have one goal for the next 6 months: hit a 140kg Bench Press.
This page will be an update of my journey starting from now. Hopefully in 6 months I can look back on this with satisfaction after absolutely smashing a triple-plate PR. Also, I hit a 200kg deadlift today. Not too bad hey, although my mum says the ‘Powerlifter-build’ as I call it and am currently wearing is just plain fat. Ah well. Hit 200kg deadlift. Worth it.
